When my wife Megan and I were considering moving to Balcaskie Road, we came to check out the house one final time. John saw me looking at the house oppoisite for a while as he did some gardening in the front. He called me over and started to chat. To my surprise (and probably Eileen’s!), a few mins later he invited me in for a cup of tea to talk about the area, his experiences and what a nice place it was to live. He was so warm and friendly to me - a complete stranger. We are so grateful to him for giving us that time as we absolutely love living here.

He will be missed!
